Nancy West
Nancy West of Noble-West Design, Hendersonville, NC, works with clients providing a wide range of services on multiple aspects of interior planning from one time assessments to multi-faceted projects. In focusing on Renovation and Universal Design she offers services from design concept to final decorating to assist in creating environments to meet your challenges and expectations. She  recognizes that people change, life changes, environments must change –  and that there is a continuing evolution in our life styles.

Throughout her career, Nancy West, ASID, NCIDQ has designed residential interiors as well as law offices, medical offices, furniture manufacturer’s showrooms, boutique and retail spaces and open plan corporate facilities, executing interiors from initial concept through the final stages of project management in the Mid-Atlantic region and the Chicago metropolitan area.

As the principal of Noble-West Design, Nancy is certified by NCIDQ (National Council of Interior Design Qualification) and has been a professional member of the American Society of Interior Designers since 1980. She holds a BS from University of Connecticut: AAS from the FIDER accredited Interior Design Program at Chamberlayne College, Boston, and has pursued graduate studies in fine arts at Boston University. She has also served on the Washington Metro Chapter, ASID Continuing Education committee.

Prior to re-locating to Hendersonville, NC, Nancy lived in Middleburg, Virginia where she was a strong advocate for land and water conservation. She is an avid equestrian, former member of the Blue Ridge Hospice (Virginia) Advisory committee,  the Aldie Horticultural Society and the Middleburg Garden Club. While living in Virginia she served on boards of the Land Trust of Virginia, Piedmont Environmental Council, and the Virginia League of Conservation Voters.


Nancy West believes that “smart design” is essential to providing sustainable, accessible, affordable and aesthetically pleasing environments where everyone can “thrive in place.” Creating comfortable, “traditional interiors with a twist” she is dedicated to helping clients create homes and work places through livable design.

A problem solver and advocate, she is determined that the finished space is a true reflection of her clients’ intentions. To that end, Nancy focuses on the expectations of her clients to provide results of relaxed, functional simplicity which display a visually balanced aesthetic incorporating architecture, design and decoration.
